It is a quick acting gel paint stripper able to remove most of the priming paint systems used in the aeronautics and production industry, such as those adopted on aircraft (including the structural parts of the cell), machinery, heavy equipment road signs, trucks, trailers, cars.
The solvents of KEMPERSTRIP GEL SFA, penetrating through the layer of varnish, reach the anchoring surface by loosening its bonds and consequently favoring the separation by means of a jet of water under pressure or the use of a spatula. The product in many cases removes in one step both the paint and the primer without affecting any possible chromate layer present on light aluminum alloy surfaces (alloys series 2024; 6061; 7075)
The presence of evaporation retardants that are distributed on the free surface of the gel allows the rational exploitation of the product and the containment of emissions in the working environment. KEMPERSTRIP GEL SFA is ideal for all those activities that often have the problem of removing the layers of paint such as: CND controls in the aeronautical and military sectors, mechanical maintenance personnel, coachbuilders, etc. The efficacy of the product that isn’t classified as toxic according to current legislation (29th adaptation of technical progress - REACH regulation) is comparable to that of phenolic products.
CHEMICAL – PHYSICAL DATA
Physical state : viscous liquid
Color : straw yello/orange
Density(20°C) : 1,2 Kg/lt approx.
Solub. in water : insoluble
Flammability : not flammable
pH (as it is ) : approx. 2
HOW TO USE
Distribute the product evenly with a brush / spatula on the surface to be treated, forming a thick layer. Wait approximately 5 to 60 minutes (depending on the type of paint and the number of layers) until the bubbles appear and the paint curls. At this point, pass with a jet of water under pressure or with a spatula to remove the paint; dry the piece before proceeding with the new painting. For pieces with more layers of varnish, or with particularly stubborn paints, it may be useful, after a certain time, to move the already applied gel with a brush to renew its actionIn other cases, more applications may be required.
The product ISN’T suitable for magnesium alloys. Some ferrous alloys can develop oxidation phenomena during the rinsing and drying phases. These phenomena are normally manageable in the subsequent preparation stages of the surfaces for the new painting.
We don’t recommend applications on wood and derived, since even the minimal absorption of the product, and the consequent subsequent release could compromise the goodness of the new painting.
