Specific, solvent-free product for degreasing a wide range of objects in aluminium and aluminium alloys. The main feature of the product is to remove residues, even of large consistency, oil stains and/or synthetic, semi-synthetic or mineral greases from objects, without corroding the surfaces and undermine the shine.
DERKEMP MAT FL can also be used to wash parts and objects where the dirt to remove is of particle or mixed nature (firm dirt, traffic film, etc.). The neutral pH and the presence of anti-oxidant additives do not hinder the shine of the worked surfaces in those cycles where the parts are subject to one or more inter-operational degreasing phases, in the production or assembly process. Excess doses or extended cleansing times do not damage the parts, as it may occur with other products (loss of shine, formation of dark surface
films). The product does not contain nitrates, nitrites, and phosphates to improve management of depuration systems. It can be used in automatic, ultra-sound, tunnelwash machinery, and also in part-washing machines with splash feed basket or manually. When used with automatic cleansing systems, DERKEMP MAT FL solutions must be kept at the recommended temperatures to avoid foaming phenomena. The foam is eliminated spontaneously by raising the temperature. The product can also be used for copper and copper alloys, zamak, and ferrous metals. In the latter case, dry the parts after washing them. It is not suitable for removing saline scales (limestone) from light alloy systems and to eliminate some types of protective products of long-lasting action.
APPLICATIONS
In the mechanical industry, it is used during the production of machine-processed components, from which oil residues and shavings must be removed (headpieces in light alloy, casing, etc.). In maintenance operations involving alloy parts that must be degreased using solvent-free products (aeronautical parts, motor components, etc.). In the painting industry of aluminium and alloys, it is used in degreasing cycles before the pickling and phosphation / chromating phases.
Glassworks. Thanks to its degreasing properties, the product is suitable to clean and degrease glass and crystals in automatic cycles.
METHODS OF USE
The indicative doses range from 1.5% to 5% and can be optimized according to the nature and age of the residues to remove. Temperatures between 45ºC and 65ºC. Rinsing is required in most applications. Product stock-up must be established according to the system’s work load and contamination degree of the objects. The product can be used cold when foaming phenomena do not represent an issue.
