FEATURES PDF
It is a descaler active on different kinds of incrustations as: carbonates, tartrates, phosphates and so it has different possibilities of use.
It contains special inhibitors of corrosion able to protect ferrous metals for some hours; it doesn’t reek bad smells and noxious fumes and it is completely inert to the synthetic materials.
It can be used in various sectors as: building, hydraulics, molding on plastic, nautical science, dairies, breweries and everywhere there is the necessity to remove organic and inorganic incrustations.
It is ideal for the treatment of cooling towers and circuits as well as for the boilers descaling (even the domestic ones).
CHEMICAL/PHYSICAL DATA
Physical state : liquid
Colour : colourless
Water solubility: total
Density (15°C) : 1,1 Kg/litre
pH(1% solution) : 1
Flammability : non-flammable
Descaling power: 8gr (product as is) 10gr (limestone)
RATE OF USE
Cement mortar removal: remove the main part and prepare an aqueous solution with 15-20% of the product (150-200 gr/litre).
Distribute it on the surfaces to treat and pass with a plastic brush; let the formed foam act for about 5 minutes and then rinse accurately. When there are substantial thicknesses, use more concentrated solution or use the product as is.
Treatment of the cooling towers and plants of thermic exchange. Before using the treatment it is suitable to empty the plant of its water content and to open the breathers in order to free the gas that will form.
Prepare an aqueous solution with the 5-10% of the product (50-100 gr/lt), put it into the plant and let it circulate for about 1 hour; during this time at regular intervals measure the pH (it will raise because of the exhaustion of the solution) and maintain it always inferior to 2 by filling up the product as is.
Vice versa if the value remains constant ( for at least 30 minutes) it means that the operation has finished. Discharge the solution and rinse the plant using the special neutralizing TAMPONE.
WARNING: don’t use the product on metals as: zinc, aluminium, the respective alloys and the magnesium ones.
DESCAL GEL
The GEL version of the product DESCAL ACID has a gelatinous structure and so the product is able to remain adherent to the surface.
So this is the product to use when it is necessary to operate on vertical surfaces or on the ones in particular uncomfortable position, for example for the descaling of the hulls “with barnacles”.
DESCAL ACID N
The product is also available in a considerably stronger "N" version.
DESCAL ACID N is able to instantly dissolve any kind of inorganic encrustation without foam formation.
It does not contain a corrosion inhibitor and should be used bearing in mind that it leaves the metal surfaces completely unprotected and therefore easily attacked by corrosion if not appropriately treated.
IMPORTANT. When using the diving product, it is recommended to use a stainless steel tub or plastic material.
