ANTIFOAM is a range of products intended to eliminate or minimize any type of foam.
ANTIFOAM NoSil
It is a non-silicone, extremely active product, able to eliminate any type of industrial foam caused by detergents, degreasing solvents, chemical products and soaps. The product is silicone-free, therefore it is the only solution available to eliminate foam in painting booths. It is used in concentrations between 0.1-0.5%, but practical tests
should always be carried out to determine proper dosing.
ANTIFOAM NoSil 2
Non-silicone antifoam product suitable for use in water solutions where turbulence and/or organic content, in particular surface-active agents, create particularly intense and persistent foaming phenomena. It is particularly recommended for the centralized circuits of painting booths that exclusively collect over-sprays from water-based paints.
The product boasts high preventive action and shock-dosing is suggested any time foam is forming. Doses must be determined according to actual operating conditions, indicatively 200-1000 gr/cubic metre of water content. Since the product is extremely concentrated, it must be diluted with water before use to promptly dissolve the surface-active agents contained in it. The product should be pre-diluted at 10-20% and mixed before use.
ANTIFOAM FOOD
Non ionic, non-silicone product consisting of fatty acid esters and suitable to be in contact with foods. It is implemented in various industrial sectors such as the animal feed industry, paper mills, in particular in the food packaging, sugar processing sectors and technical-chemical industry in general. The product is suitable for accidental contact with food.
It is particularly indicated to treat water that already underwent biodegradation and requires a 100% biodegradable antifoam that does not produce surface reflections of oily substances. It is compatible with cationic, anionic and non-ionic compounds and is able to perform an effective antifoam action also in small quantities (0.1%). It must be used as is, since the emulsion becomes unstable if previously diluted.
ANTIFOAM Sil
It is a silicone-based antifoam emulsion for fluids.
The product is also effective in environments with particularly alkaline pH (in general, up to 11) or particularly acid pH (in general up to 2); good the tolerance also in environments where the temperature reaches 80/90ºC. The main fields of applications are: textile industry, cutting oils, lubro-refrigerants, bonding agents, cleansing solutions, fire extinguishing products, pharmaceutical industry, paper industry and depuration facilities. To dilute the product and confer stability to the emulsion, please proceed as follows: pour the quantity of antifoam that you intend to dilute in a suitable container, slowly add the same quantity of water by shaking the container quickly, obtaining a 1:1 ratio. Starting from this matrix, the product can be further diluted by quickly adding water. Before using the product, perform some preliminary tests to determine proper dosing. Our experience indicatively suggests using 5-20 grams of antifoam for 100 litres of solution.
When antifoam products are used, it is generally more effective and convenient to pre-dilute the product and spray it directly on the foam surface instead of pouring the product directly in the solution.
