DESORB is an ignited diatomite of natural origin, able to absorb high quantities of polar and non polar liquids, including all
animal, vegetable, mineral, petroliferous and chemical fluids.
DESORB, dry absorbent, is not harmful for the soil, cement, asphalt or any other type of pavement.
It is non-toxic and non-flammable and it is completely safe for plants, animals and men. The product carries out its action through absorption: it does not retain fluids on the surface of its particles, but envelopes them inside of the latter, fully absorbing them. This means that the product is dry and easy to remove, even after wearing off its absorbing power.
It does not release the liquid and does not turn into sticky and slippery mud like regular absorbing powders, even if walked on or pressed by the tires of working machines.

USES
The products absorbed by DESORB are numerous:
- Petroliferous products and solvents, oils and greases
- Any type of paint
- Glycols, detergents and degreasers
- All body fluids
- Herbicides, insecticides and plant protection products
- Synthetic and natural solvents
- Highly alkaline substances
- Highly acid substances
DESORB, due to its properties, can be effectively used in various fields.
- In mechanical workshops, oil storage departments and in all those places where oily materials are handled; when poured on floors, in addition to absorb oil, it renders the surfaces anti-slip.
- In case of accidental spills of oily materials on roads. When poured on the ground, it allows restoring the practicability of roads since it renders the surface anti-slip.
- To reclaim tanks, reservoirs and pits to store various sewage.
- To recycle solvents, also of chlorinated type, used as degreasers
- In public dumps of urban waste, it absorbs leachate and odours and, if used as landfill, it prevents the skidding of vehicles’ tires.
