Product specifically developed for treating a wide range of white and colour marbles.
DESCAL 21 X completes the series of our antique-finish products, allowing to effectively extend this type of treatment known as sandblasting, to many different types of marbles and stones of mainly calcareous type. The experiences gained in the surface treatment of marbles and stones show that the nature of the stone, its origin and geological age boast a key role in achieving a good chemical antiquing result.
With DESCAL 21 X, also the stones which are more resistant and refractory to treatments can be easily worked on. Since the product is considerably powerful, in case of soft, easy-to-treat marbles, we suggest using the regular version of the product (DESCAL 21).
- Even antique-finish: The main marbles can be treated, like for example: Rosso Verona, Rosa Perlino, Rosso Alicante, Trani, Marmo di Botticino, Carrara, Crema Marfil, Travertino, Biancone, Giallo Egiziano, etc. The product must be applied evenly, through sprinkling or spray method, in sufficient quantity in order to confer the required antique-finish effect. The application time ranges from 10 to 30 minutes.
- Decoration: DESCAL 21 X allows obtaining decorations of various nature and type, such as for example corrugated effects, patterns, etc. The effects (shiny parts – antiqued parts) can be inverted according to how the plastic templates used to protect the areas to preserve from the chemical action, are applied. Regular plastic adhesive tape is a suitable protective measure.

METHODS OF USE
The surface must be clean and free of residues that may hinder the product performance, such as for example greases, bonding agents or other residues.
DESCAL 21 X must be applied as is, in sufficient quantity, using plastic devices. The stone must not be hot. The sprinkler application with rose-type sprinkler gives good results. The surface to treat must be shiny or well polished, free of grooves or irregularities and it must be placed horizontally in order to prevent the product to drip in certain directions. After application, do not move the product using brushes or similar tools in order not to compromise the uniformity of the treatment. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat the application to confer a more irregular aspect. The product must be used in an open and well ventilated area, or in areas boasting exhaust systems, using the PPE indicated in the safety sheet. Protect the areas adjacent to the treatment area using plastic covers.
STORAGE
The product is stored at room temperature and away from direct sunlight.
