DESCAL 22 is an acid reaction product specifically developed for the treatment of a wide range of marbles, both white and colored.
The product allows to overcome the problem of mechanical sanding both for large surfaces and for small parts or products. In these cases DESCAL 22 allows full autonomy to the small - medium marble worker avoiding the transport of semi-finished products to companies specially equipped for traditional sandblasting operations. The peculiarity of the product allows to obtain a surface with very dense and precise irregularities. The treatment with DESCAL 22 minimizes the whitish residues after treatment that are characteristic of other products allowing the elimination of the brushing. It isn’t suitable for granites.

Uniform antiquing: For this treatment the main marbles are: Rosso Verona, Rosa Perlino, Rosso Alicante, Trani, Botticino Marble, Carrara, Crema Marfil, Travertino, Biancone, etc. The product must be spread evenly, in rain or spray, in an amount sufficient to give the desired degree of aging. The contact time can vary from 15 to 30 minutes.

Decor: DESCAL 22 allows to obtain decorations of various nature and type, such as greek, figures, etc. The effects (shiny parts - antiqued parts) can be reversed depending on how you choose to apply the plastic masks used to protect the areas you want to preserve from chemical attack. The common plastic adhesive tape constitutes an adequate protective system. A more refined system is represented by plastic adhesive models to be applied on the manufactured articles.

HOW TO USE

The surface must be clean and free from residues that may hinder the action of the product, such as grease and adhesives. DESCAL 22 must be applied as it is, in sufficient quantities, using plastic devices (suitable materials are: PP, PE, PEHD). The application to rain with onion watering can provide good results. The surface to be treated must be shiny or well polished, free of grooves or irregularities and must be placed horizontally to prevent the product from running along preferential directions

After application don’t move the product through brushes or similar as this would compromise the uniformity of the treatment. Proceed with abundant rinsing. The application can be repeated to give a more irregular appearance.

The product must be used in an open and well ventilated place or with suction systems adopting the necessary PPE indicated in the safety data sheet. It is advisable to protect the areas adjacent to the treatment station with plastic sheets.
