“Regulation containing the indication of the amount of absorbing and neutralizing substances that systems intended for storage, stock-up, maintenance, deposit and replacement of accumulators must feature”.

DESORB B, dry absorbent, is a specific product that allows the complete absorption and neutralization of sulphuric acid. It is not harmful for the soil, cement, asphalt or any other type of pavement.

It is non-toxic and non-flammable and it is completely safe for plants, animals and men. The product features a double action:

Absorption: it does not retain fluids on the surface of its particles, but envelopes them inside of the latter, fully absorbing them. This means that the product is dry and easy to remove, even after wearing off its absorbing power. It does not release the liquid and does not turn into sticky and slippery mud like regular absorbing powders, even if walked on or pressed by the tires of working machines.

Neutralization: the product not only envelopes and retains the liquid, but also carries out an exothermic and effervescent reaction that completely neutralizes the acid.

A special, non dangerous waste will be obtained, that can be handled without particular precautions, with a neutral pH of 7.

USES

Use DESORB B as is, delimiting and covering the area to reclaim evenly and with the quantity of product required for a total neutralization. Boost the action by distributing and applying the product with large plastic brushes. As foreseen by Ministerial Decree no. 20, the applications are numerous:

• Battery recharge areas (also if one single fork lift is available)
• Deposits of new batteries and shopping centres
• Spare parts dealers, car dealers and car electricians 
• Maintenance operators and installers of batteries
• Vehicles that transport accumulators intended to be disposed
• Storage and disposal areas of exhausted accumulators
• Electrical public transport means
• Railway stations and workshops
• Vehicles of the Fire Department, Police, Corps of the Judicial Police Section, Municipal and Provincial Police
