It is a natural granular montmorillonite that can absorb high quantities of many chemicals:
acids, bases, oxidants, solvents, oils, and animal cleansing, vegetals liquids, petroleum.
The DESORB 50/100, dry absorbent, is not harmful to soil, cement, asphalt or any other type of floor.
It is not toxic and flammable and is completely harmless to plants, animals and humans.
It does not hold liquids on the surface of its particles, but incorporates them completely into the interior. This means that the product, even when it has exhausted its absorbent capacity, remains dry and easily removable. Although crushed by the pounding, or by the wheels of a working machine, it does not release the liquid and does not become a sticky sludge and slippery as the normal absorbent powders.

The list of products that are absorbed by DESORB 50/100 is remarkable:

- Glycol, detergents and degreasers.

The DESORB, for its properties, can be used in various camps.
- In mechanical workshops, in oil storage units and in all places where oil materials are handled; sprinkled over the floors, besides absorbing the oil, makes them non-skid.
- In case of accidental spills of oily materials on roads. Sprinkled on the ground allows immediate restoration of the road as it makes the surface non-skid.
- For the reclamation of reservoirs, tanks, and collection tanks of various sewage.
- For the recovery of solvents, even chlorinated, used as degreasing agents.
